DEB NABB - The Mutt Matcher
(303) 552-1306

Deb Nabb has been passionate about dogs since she can remember. She was born and raised in Lincoln, Nebraska and she spent most of her childhood around her grandfather, who bred yellow Labs. Deb began working and training dogs as a hobby and then, in the early 90's, moved to Southern California. There she shadowed a seasoned trainer where she picked up certain training techniques and communication skills which she still uses today. It wasn't long before Deb was offering private teaching sessions and meeting clients in their homes.

In 1997, Deb opened her own business called Camp Happy Dog, a full-service, state-of-the-art facility featuring grooming, dog training, boarding, day-care, pet transportation, rescue dog adoption, and retail products. Camp Happy Dog quickly became one of the premiere dog day care facilities in Southern California and was featured in Fido Friendly and Dog Fancy Magazines, The Daily News (L.A  Life), Valley Magazine, and on the CBS, ABC, and Fox News affiliates in Los Angeles.Deb sold Camp Happy Dog in 2004 and moved to one of the most dog-friendly states in the country—Colorado! She was then snatched up by the nation's largest pet retail chain and given the position of "Senior Area Trainer." In that capacity she worked with thousands of puppies, dogs, and pet parents, and trained and accredited the novice trainers for their training program.

Deb has more than 27 years experience working with, training, and rehabilitating dogs of all ages, breeds, mixes, and backgrounds. She is also an AKC-certified CGC (Canine Good Citizen) Evaluator and helps place volunteers and their companion dogs in assisted living facilities—making a difference for people who are in need of unconditional love and support. Deb and her husband, Roger King, share their lives with their rescue dogs. She continues to teach dogs, educate pet parents, and help match dogs in need of homes with people who are looking to find their new "forever friend." She also writes and produces "Mutt Matcher Minutes," which run on all the Clear Channel radio stations in the Denver area, and produces "You Tube" training videos which provide great visual instruction and tips to help educate and inform well-meaning pet parents.
