HAPPY NEW YEAR to our Friends & Volunteers!

Here we are almost to the end of another great year. So many great stories in 2014.So many great dogs have passed through our doors. We love them all. There is something so gratifying about seeing the smile on someones face when you have found them a best friend to love forever. As we close out another year, we reflect on some of the awesome little lives we saved. Some were with us only for a short time before they crossed that bridge, but in that time, they found comfort and love in our homes. CPPR has taken in 135 dogs in 2014. Since our inception of 2007, we have rescued more than 1500 little dogs.- a number that truly amazes us!

We have an amazing group of volunteers and a number of new friends and volunteers who became a part of the CPPR family. To them we say "thank you!" and "welcome"! Volunteers really DO make a difference! More lives can be saved ... more little Precious Personalities get a second chance to live out their lives surrounded by love.

A special thanks to our volunteers and friends who have been with us for several years. Their commitment to saving lives has made us what we are today. This includes our graphic designer, regular donors, fosters, transporters, event support, and admin help. What we accomplish every year takes a team ... and we are blessed to have them.

We received a number of "Happy Tails" in 2014 ... a couple of which we’d like to share with you here:

mena 2

Mena: She came to us from a shleter in Aurora, Colorado. She had been hit by a car and the injury had never been repaired. We were able to help this little girl. She had to have her leg removed, but she is still a happy little girl. She found her forever home and is being spoiled rotten. A very happy ending for this little girl....she is getting the love she so deserves.

Sadie: She was left at the Denver shelter. Past up because she had a mammroy tumer. CPPR picked her up and took her to a new foster home.Sadie had surgery to remove a small tumer and a dental. She had x-rays on her leg to find out the cause of a small limp. Turns out she may have been hit by a car some time ago and it was never repaired....Through all of this, something wonderful was happening. Sadie's foster mom Brittany had introduced Sadie to her mother Cheryl and a beautiful friendship was in the making.Soon Cheryl could not imagine a life without Sadie in it and adopted her. It didn't matter what  the future might she is happy, healthy and quite spoiled.... We have always said in rescue that there is someone for each of them.

"Fun-raising" Events:  Each year CPPR hosts multiple fundraising events to support The Machika Fund, our medical fund which provides veterinary care for little dogs in need. Whether it's our laugh-a-minute Bowling Tournament in the spring ... our Picnic with Pooches in the summer ... Photos with Santa and Holiday Silent Auction at Christmas ... or any of our other entertaining activities in between ... there's something for everyone. We would love to see you at any of these FUN events - most of which include several of our little furry adoption candidates there to cheer us on (and perhaps find a forever home of their very own). Our 2014 schedule is being formulated now ... keep an eye on our "Events" page for regular updates and event listings.

Awareness of our Rescue continues to spread. Our website donations have increased over prior years and the number of adoption applications has also increased. We have streamlined the adoption process through our new website, where answers can be found to most generic questions about our adoption process. Donations are the Rescue's life blood – so thank you for thinking of us and for your generosity! Our new Facebook page has increased our visibility as well and has brought us new friends and supporters. In 2015 we will be utilizing this tool more to spread the word about our Precious Personalities looking for homes ... and to celebrate and share the joy when little dogs like Mena and Sadie find their very own "happily ever-afters."

If ever you wish to see a snapshot of the lives we have touched through CPPR, please look at the 2015 Calendar. We have been told that it is one of the most beautiful and professional rescue calendars out there - and of course we had fabulous models! There are still some calendars available as well. Please send us an email if you are interested to

Best of health to you in 2015 Again, we are grateful for your continued support. Let’s make 2015 a terrific year!
